Smart Factory Lighting for Bangladesh’s Garment Industry
Laila Styles Limited, a new venture under the Laila Group of Companies, is emerging as a key player in Bangladesh’s garment sector. With a land area of 198,000 sq.ft and a workforce of over 5000, the company continues to expand its capabilities — and in their latest garment factory setup, they partnered with Adex Lighting to create an energy-efficient, high-performance lighting system.
Project Details & Impact
Initially relying on fixtures with 2×20–22W LEDs (yielding approx. 2200 lumens), Laila Styles was consuming significant energy to maintain 400–500 lux from 11 ft ceilings.
Adex Lighting Solution:
- Installed single continuous rows of 16W T8 LED tubes
- Achieved 1375 lumen/watt efficiency
- Maintained optimal light levels while cutting energy use significantly
- Installed only 464 LED tubes to cover 163,767 sq.ft per floor
- Deployed task-specific lighting at 7 ft height for critical zones like inspection and finishing
- Enabled major savings on electricity bills, maintenance, and carbon footprint
